Kikyou hasn't had an easy life. She was the village priestess and had to take care of her little sister Kaede. She also was in charge of taking care of the sacred jewel. The one time she was truly in love with someone (Inu Yasha) it was taken away from her by a jeaolus man (Onigumo). She was tricked into killing the man she loved and died thinking he betrayed her. She later finds out the truth from her sister Kaede after she is resurrected. With all the stuff that has happened to her Kikyou still remains strong and only wants revenge for what happened to her so she can finally rest in peace. She also understands that she and Inu Yasha cannot be together anymore since she is no longer truly a part of the world.  |
