All of the Sailor Senshi face personal problems but Minako seems to have the most bitter problems and yet she handles them well. She is not like most female characters that undergo heartbreaks and sorrow and then turn into an emotionless or miserable individual. Instead, she hides her grief behind smiles, and hardly thinks about her problems; always thinking of the others and making sure that they are happy instead. Most of the time we can not even tell what she is feeling until there is an in-depth episode based on her mind-set.
One of the most common mistakes a person can make is to see Minako as weak, clumsy, stupid; just the 5th Senshi of the Inner Court. She’s actually the very first Senshi and she fought a completely different enemy by herself before Sailor Moon was even discovered. She’s not only strong mentally, but also physically – being the leader of Inner Court. Her strong sense of friendship keeps her going, and she won’t let severe heartbreaks (that left scars in her heart) abandon her love ones. There’s more to Minako than meets the eye, and that is why she has a strong quality that stands out of the rest.  |
