Mission Statement (as written by Keiko) Females are Strong too is about supporting the female anime/manga characters with strength. It can be mental strength or just pure strength. I was reading a Gundam Wing fanfic a few days ago. What I read is what caused me to make this site. It was about a Gundam pilot brutally beating up a girl and then raping her. I was shocked! I didn't know it was a lemon (there was no warning) and I was appalled at the fact that a girl was being beaten by Quatre! Of all people in Gundam Wing, my God! Quatre!?! He is the last person I would think of to do something like that! Yes, I realize this was a fanfic and Quatre wouldn't do that in the anime or manga, but the fact that someone got pleasure from writing about a girl getting beaten really hurt me. It made me feel low. I know that the world used to be a male-dominated world (some people think it still is), but male-dominated or not, that fanfic was discouraging. It made me sick. If it was just normal 'sex' than it probably wouldn't have bothered me. But it wasn't. It was rape. There is a difference. Rape is forced and it usually means a male forced a female into it. I haven't heard of many cases where the female rapes the male. It just doesn't happen that way. This is why I made this clique. It's for those strong anime females out there that go un-noticed.
